Akuru - 惡樓 -

Akuru draws inspiration from the colossal aquatic creature featured in Japanese mythology, a formidable entity that succumbed to the prowess of Yamato Takeru. Despite Yamato Takeru's esteemed status as a heroic figure within Japanese mythology, my sentiments align with the vanquished, as I harbor empathy for those who face defeat. I postulate that mythology, while rooted in historical events, is inevitably shaped by the victors who inscribe their narratives. In this context, I surmise that Akuru, initially representing an ethnic group or tribe, suffered defeat, gradually fading into the obscured recesses of history before metamorphosing into the mythical kaiju we perceive today.
